I discovered way too late in life that I have aphantasia. Turns out, when someone tells you to picture something in your mind… the rest of you (or at least most of you) actually see something. I always thought it was just the phrasing we all used. Never did I actually see something. Well, if I look at the sun with my eyes closed I can see some reds and oranges of my eyelids… but that is the closest I get to seeing anything in my mind.
So I bought weaving software that will automatically generate the drawdown of a pattern for me and it is making my life so much better! It takes me a very long time to do this all by hand so utilizing the help of technology seems like the right direction to go. This project is my first design using the software.
